trying too hard?

I get the feeling I've been trying too hard to do stuff that I see and think.. 'wow, that's really good..'. I tried to put that aside for this 'offering'.

I think I'm favouring the lower one....

Your thoughts would be appreciated...

Thought I'd try my hand at a woodcut print. The photo isn't brilliant but I'm quite happy with the final result even if it does look a bit like 'Blakey" from 'Off the buses'.
