  4. Are you really smoking a pipe these days?

It's got me thinking: when I worked in Libya, I bought a hubbly bubbly pipe to cheer me up in the evenings. Recently, contemplating a return to working in an Arab country, with a heavy heart, I was thinking "Well, at least I can buy a hubbly bubbly". Now, I'm not going there, but to China, and I'm thinking, why not get a briar pipe anyway, and be a twat like Chris?

  5. yes it's true. I have two. Basically because I wanted to stop inhaling the smoky goodness, and I stopped cigarettes for a whole 2 weeks. For me that was a breakthrough. I love it but I was week and bought rolling tobacco the other day and now each cigarette makes me feel sick now. I found Kendal Bobs Chocolate (review here) and yummy... it's a meal substitute I tell you.. and the apres pipe smell is divine... and I really need to get some more as I ran out recently.

If I could recommend just one thing.. etc..

  6. That's a fucking confectionery, not a tobacco. Even so, I'd give it a go... I was enjoying the Arab stuff, which was soaked in molasses and some other flavour, such as apple or mint.

What kind of pipe, though? Presumably not one of these Haojue jobs you get for pennies on eBay?

  7. Not as sweet and nowhere as sickly as you'd think. A dam fine smoke. Give me a shout if you get one and I'll send you a taster.

I spent £20 0n a briar and of course now I want to collect them...

  8. You'll probably get a better tune out of your briar than out of your fife.
